Thomas came to Stonington when he was nine. About 12 yrs later,1659, he married Sarah Denison, daughter of Capt. George Denison and Bridget Thompson, with whom he had 7 children. He was involved with his father's trading business and inherited his father's homestead in Stonington. Their daughter, Anna, married their nephew Thomas Stanton, son of Capt. John in 1692.
