Even though her name is Cynthia on the headstone, it was spelled Cyntha in the pension papers, her divorce decree, on her marriage certificate, the 1900 Federal and 1905 State censuses. She did divorce Russell GOODWIN for desertion and cruel treatment. Her divorce was granted Dec. 14, 1887. She changed her name back to BURSELL at that time. Her maiden name was PRINDLE, daughter of Asa PRINDLE and Betsey DUDLEY.
