Married on Oct. 3, 1858 by Justice of the Peace, Putnum B. FISK in Chateaugay, Franklin, NY. Ezra was aged 25 and Mary Ann was aged 21.

Ezra enlisted from Burke, Franklin, NY on Feb. 14, 1864 as a Pvt. in the 14th Reg. Co. H. NY Inf. Regular Army. Ezra died on May 12, 1864 at Laurel Hill, at the Battle of the Wilderness, VA. He had not even served 3 months before his death, leaving a young widow and two very young children. Mary applied for Ezra's Civil War pension on Jan. 13, 1866. She lived in Franklin, P.O. Chateaugay, Clinton, NY at the time.
