"DIED- Jared Prindle, an old soldier, died at his home in the First ward Tuesday morning at nine o'clock, aged 85 years, ten months and three days. He was a native of New York state and was a member of the Thirteenth New York Volunteer Heavy Artillery. He came west to Illinois about forty-five years ago and has been a resident of this city for some time. A widow, a daughter and three sons survive him. The sons are Frank of this city, George of Rockford, Ill., and Charles of Durand, Ill. The daughter is Mrs. Ellen Bailey of Rockford, Ill. The funeral services were held from the late home yesterday afternoon at two o'clock under the auspices of the G.A.R. Interment in Mt. Hope."
