mrs.sarah auby allphin,81,died saturday afternoon at knapp methodist hospital in weslaco.
a resident of donna since 1925, she was the mother of mrs. sarah van allen and mayor pro tem cam allphin of donna. she was a native of madison county, texas.
survivors include two other sons, jack allphin of houston and morris allphin of corpus christi; and three other daughters, mrs. dovie ray of shamrock, texas, mrs. gloria venable and mrs. ruby fay rosenberger, both of vian, oklahoma.
graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. monday in the donna cemetery. the reverand l.c. johnston, pastor of the first united methodist church, will officiate. stotler mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
