Cam B. Allphin, 94, entered into eternal rest on dec. 1, 2005 at John Knox Village Nursing home in Weslaco, Texas.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a donna community businessman and leader. Mr. Allphin was born in midway Texas on Feb. 25, 1911. on December 3, 1931, he married Clara Lydia Kochert and moved to Donna where they lived and raised their children for 58 years. He was preceded in death by three sisters, four brothers and wives Clara Kochert and Kathryn Turner.

a longtime businessman, Mr. Allphin owned and operated the local Texaco consignee. he served the Donna community as a city commissioner from 1968 to 1976. He served as a Donna fire chief for one year and as a volunteer fireman for twenty years. Over the years, Mr. Allphin was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Donna, the Lions Club and Rotary Club.

He is survived by a sister, Sarah van Allen of Kasson, MN., daughters Jo Ann Oberg of Raymondville, and Jeanette "Janet" Gully of Austin; sons Gayle Allphin and Gary Allphin of Donna.

Services were Wed., Dec 7, 2005 in the First United Methodist Church of Donna. interment followed at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Donna, Texas.
