Johnny Darrell Berry, Sr.

Johnny Darrell Berry, Sr., 60 of Church Hill, passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at his home after a brief illness.

Johnny was the son of the late Mack and Madge Lawson Berry. He was a life long resident of Church Hill and owned and operated Berry's Landscaping for the past 19 years. His favorite pastime was riding his horses, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren who were very special to his heart and brought him much happiness.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Lee Berry; and a sister, Carolyn Helton.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 25 years, Janet Sneed Berry of the home; son, Darrell Berry of Church Hill; daughters, Tracy Couch and husband Bobby of Surgoinsville, Ann Berry of Church Hill, Heather Cradic and husband Kevin of Church Hill, 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Maupin, Shelly Glazebrooke, Kay Watson, Vicki Yount, Lisa Norton and husband Johnny and Jan Berry; brother, Mack Berry; special friends, Patricia Thompson, Melissa Brown, David Kinchloe, Chris Reeves and Bill Bass; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 1115 Hwy 11W, Church Hill, TN.

A funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Morelock officiating.

Burial will follow in McPhetters Bend Community Cemetery, Church Hill.

Pallbearers will be family and former employees of Berry's Landscaping.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the nurses on W3 in Wilcox Hall at Holston Valley Medical Center.
