Mack Berry
Mack Berry CHURCH HILL -- Mack R. Berry, 70, 1184 Lloyds Chapel Road, died Thursday (Sept. 10, 1998) at Indian Path Medical Center after an extended illness.
A native of Hawkins County, he lived for several years in North Carolina before returning to Church Hill in 1994.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Madge Berry; parents, John and Carrie Wright Berry; and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Johnny Berry, Church Hill and Mack Berry, North Carolina; eight daughters, Linda Watson, Hutson, N.C., Carolyn Hilton, Shelly Glazebrook, Vicki Yunt, Janet Berry, Lisa Norton and Merissa Neely, all of Hickory, N.C., and Sharon Shelton, Church Hill; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Berry, South Carolina and Bob Berry, Kingsport; five sisters, Betty Lawson, Cathleen Cupp, Myrtle Skelton, all of Church Hill, Shirley Ward, Kingsport and Jo Ann Kelly, Mississippi; a half-sister, Elizabeth Snodgrass, Elizabethton.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p,m. today at Johnson Funeral Home, Church Hill, and anytime at the residence. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gerald Hopkins and the Rev. Andy Sensabaugh officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Mount Mitchell Cemetery.
