David J. BAER, a son of the late Josiah and Barbara Johnson Baer, died at his home in Masontown Tuesday afternoon, July 2, 1935, at 3:50 o'clock following a lingering illness of complications. He was born in Nicholson township August 22, 1854, and had resided in Masontown for many years, being one of the best known and respected citizens of that community.

His wife, Martha Ann Campbell Baer preceded him in death three years.

He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Robert G. Ramsey, of Carmichaels; Charles Robert Baer, Uniontown; Mrs. Mary E. Ebner, Williamstown, N. J.; Mrs. Andrew Miller, Canonsburg; and Mrs. Joseph V. Swift, Masontown, and the following brothers and sisters: John H., Jacob A., and William T., of Uniontown; Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Brashear and Mrs. Frank Cuppett, also of Uniontown, and Alpheus Baer of Masontown.

Funeral services will be held from the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Following brief services at the house additional services will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the Brethern church, Masontown. Burial in Greendale cemetery.
