James Altheus Baer, 81, well known farmer and dairyman of Masontown, died Sunday morning at his home in German township. He was a member of the Masontown Presbyterian Church, Masonic Blue Lodge of that place, Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, Pittsburgh Consistory and Woodside Grange.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Irminnie Riffle Baer and six children including Joseph C. Baer and Mrs. W. Mack Wells of Masontown; one sister, Mrs. Mary Brashear of Uniontown; 20 grandchildren and give great grandchildren.
