Albert Solmonson
Albert A. Solmonson, 72, Estherville, died at 6:30 a.m. Jan. 19 in Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Estherville Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Stan Eyberg officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery, Estherville. Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, until noon on Tuesday.

Mr. Solmonson was born Jan. 29, 1901 on a farm in Emmet County to Mr. and Mrs. Sam Solmonson. He was educated in rural Estherville schools and attended high school in Forest City and Albert Lea. He was married to Rita Michael on May 27, 1924 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

He was employed at Leuthold-Tibbets Clothing Store, Estherville, for many years. He later operated the Estherville Laundromat for 12 years, retiring two years ago. He was a member of Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rita, Estherville; two step-daughters, Mrs. Maxine Hansen, Ruthven, and Mrs. Victor (Eileen) Rouse, Curlew; seven step-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Clarence Sorum, Estherville; two brothers, Harvey Solmonson, Estherville, and Orvie Solmonson, Clear Lake.
