Last born child of William Elza Cooper and Annie Elizabeth Ownes. He was about 6 months old at the time of his mothers death and only about 1 year 7 months at the time of his fathers death. He was raised by his sister Mabell and her husband LeRoy (Blackie) Hogue. He Served in the Navy during WWII and was injured when his ship was hit and he fell from 1 deck to the next. he was a carpenter and built the house that he and his wife Mildred ( Dolly ) Schelly lived in until their death. Dick also had a hobby of building and repairing clocks and old travel trunks. While stationed in Cairo, Egypr, Dick said that he climbed to the top of the Great Pyramid and Carved his name on one of the stones. National Geographic did an artical on the pyramids later and if you look close at the top of the pyramid in the picture with a magnifing glasss you can see the name "Cooper" that he carved there. He was Buried on 23 Mar 2007
