2nd born child of William Elza Cooper and Annie Elizabeth owens. He was Born in Garden Springs, Spokane co., WA which later became part of Spokane . He married Pearl Holt on 21 Mar 1927. they had 5 children one of which died from pneumonia in Pasco, Franklin Co., WA and is buried there. He was a loger and later became a body and fender man for Washington Auto carriage till he retired. He liked garden, hunt, fish and camp. He also was a sparing partner prior to marriage to John L. Sullivan but never went into boxing himself. His favorite color was Yellow. He was Buried on 15 Apr 1976
