There is a discrepancy between the headstone and the death certificate as to name & date of death. The family called him 'Gurn,' but the death certificate states his name as Joseph Gurnsey, not Gurn J. The informant was his father, John C. Johnson. His year of birth is listed as 1918 and date of death is listed on certificate as May 23.

The original headstone (top photo) has the correct dates; the newer headstone has wrong dates.
