MRS. BARBARA HARVEY,
Wife of John Harvey, died at 3.50 o'clock this morning at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. G.A. Norris of Greenwood, after one week's illness, following a paralytic stroke. Deceased was born Jan. 7, 1848, at Blue Knob and was a daughter of John and Lizzie Thomas. She was twice married. Her first husband was John Hainley, who preceded her to the grave. Surviving are the second husband and the following children: Edgar A. Hainley of Altoona, France W. Hainley of Los Angeles, Mrs. Sally Walton, Mrs. Annie Swope, Mrs. Nettie Wills of Petersburg, Va., and Mrs. Bertha Norris, at whose home she died. She also leaves one step-daughter, Mrs. Mary Austin of Juniata, and two brothers, Joseph Thomas of Puritan, Pa., and William Thomas of Tennessee, and eighty-four grandchildren, 124 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was a resident of Riddlesburg for many years and was a member of the Methodist church there. She was a member of the Ladies of K.K.K. She attended the Greenwood United Brethren church. Funeral services will be conducted at the Norris home at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. Interment will follow in Rose Hill cemetery.
