Miss Edwards taught 6th grade at St. John's Elementary School for many years and retired in 1969. After Miss Edwards retired, she served as a hostess at the Lunch Box in Darlington. She was a member of the Darlington Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir. Miss Edwards was a lifetime member of the Presbyterian Women and served in several capacities in the Christian Education Program in the Darlington Presbyterian Church. She was a resident of the Presbyterian Home of South Carolina in Florence.
