The people of Buchanan were indeed shocked to learn of the death of Mrs. M.C. Munroe, which sad event occurred a few miles out from Buchanan last Friday evening. Mrs. Munroe was apparently enjoying the best of health up until the time of her death, and her sudden passing away -- attributed to heart failure -- cast a gloom of sadness over the entire community in which she had so long lived. Mrs. Munroe was the wife of B.O. Munroe, better known as "Uncle Ben," whose death occurred several years ago. Mrs. Munroe was a good Christian lady, a strict member of the church, and a friend to everybody. Peace to her ashes.
