George Krug, Sr., died Tuesday evening, October 15, about 8:45 o'clock at the home of his son, Fred D. Krug, living 12 miles southeast of Russell where he made his home. Mr. Krug was sick but several days. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon from the Michaelis Church, southeast of Russell, and he will be buried in the cemetery there. He leaves six sons - Alex, Henry D., Peter and Fred, all of Russell, Phillip, of Hoisington and Jacob of Barton County, also his daughters, Mrs. Katherine Schneidmiller, of Colorado Springs, and Mrs. Sophia Kluevno, of Bazine, and brothers, Michael, of Rush County, Fred of Rush County, John Henry Krug, of this city and one sister in Russia. Mr. Krug was born Feb. 17, 1846, and at the time of his death was 79 years old. He came here in 1900 from Tittle, Russia. Mrs. Krug died about five years ago.
