Camilla Mae "Millie" Chappell was a long-time resident of Olean, NY, at 120 N. 14th Street. Daughter of Minnie C. Stull (1868-1945) and Charles F. Jackson (1863-1925) of Coreyville, McKean County, PA; she married Sylvester G. Chappell in Olean, on May 23, 1904 by Justice George Cook. She was a graduate practical nurse of New York; and employed as a baker at the Olean House, retired in 1956. She was an active member of the Showers Memorial United Methodist Church (Formerly United Brethren in Christ) of Olean and the Friendship Sunday School; a 53-year member of the Electra Chapter 84, Order of the Eastern Star; and past Royal Matron of Olean Lodge 19, Order of the Amaranth; past District Deputy of the 26th District of the Amaranth in 1930; in 1931, she was a member of the Hannah Shrine of Olean; and in 1945, she and her daughter Leola became members of Chapter 1117 Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) her Patriot was Captain Jacob Stull #83157359.

Millie and Sylvester had seven children:

Charles Irwin Chappell (m. Erma Mead), buried at Limestone Cemetery, NY)
Leola Mae Chappell (b. 04 Jun 1913, d. 19 Feb 1955 m. James Sweeney)
Geraldine Orinda Chappell (m. William H. Koblinger)
William H. Chappell (m. 1st Florence Dunn; and 2nd Josephine Ulissi)
Dorothea I. Chappell (m. Nelson Banfield)
Joseph Carl Chappell (m. Betty Gould)

At the time of her death in 1978, she had 13 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; also surviving were a sister, Lillian D. Pendleton (nee Jackson, m. Claude Pendleton) of Sarasota, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

"Grandma Chappell's" house was the place to be if you wanted delicious sugar cookies or homemade orange bundt cake.

All cigar smokers were exiled to the front porch.
