KATHRYN IRENE PRESTON
Kathryn Irene Preston, 86, of Terre Haute, died at 12 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was a homemaker.
She was born June 7, 1916, in New Goshen to Wayne Strole and Wilma Richardson Strole.
Survivors include her husband, James Preston; three daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Jack Pope of Terre Haute, Patty and Gene Reese of Avon and Barbara and Bryan O'Neil of Goodyear, Ariz.; one son, James E. Preston of West Terre Haute and special friend Rhoda Crowe; four sisters, Leah Van Houtin, Ruth McCleary and Doris Flowers, all of West Terre Haute, and Charity Evinger of Terre Haute; three brothers, Ray Strole, Marvin Strole and Robert Strole, all of West Terre Haute; 13 grandchildren, Randy Pope, Teresa Camarino, Marsha Ash, Bill Reese, Tom Reese, Mike Reese, Kevin O'Neil, Lori Frey, Kristie Preston, Kathryn Preston, Rebecca Preston, Cassie Cannon and Jamie Crowe; 13 great-grandchildren, Chad, Leslie, Amber, Ashleigh, Derrick, Chelsea, Nicole, Devin, Seth, Luke, Jacob, Joshua and Mackenzie; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers.
She was a member of Emmanuel Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 428 in West Terre Haute. She was a past matron of Morris Chapter OES.
Services are 11:30 p.m. Friday in the Callahan Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kathy Rousch officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m Thursday, with OES service at 7 p.m.
