Capt. Peleg Fisk, for forty years a resident of New Albany, died at his residence on Pearl street hill on Saturday night aged 81 years. He had been confined to his room for many months, and two years ago it was supposed he would pass away in advance of his wife, but she died about that time. It used to be said of Capt. Fisk that he never was a boy or young man, but always had old man ways. Deceased had been Gauger for many years. He was a member of New Albany Lodge No. 10, of Odd Fellows, and also of the Encampment. He leaves two sons and several daughters to mourn their loss. - Public Press 02 Sep 1885
