Noah Ogle was born 1833 in Gatlinburg, Sevier County, Tennessee. Noah was the son of Harkless T. Ogle and Margaret "Peggy" Ownbey-Ogle


Noah Ogle married Martha Ogle abt 1852 in Sevier County, Tennesseee. Martha was the daughter of Thomas Isaac Ogle and Sarah "Sally" Ogle-Ogle. Noah and Martha Ogle had one daughter;

Noah Ogle remarried Sophia Reagan abt 1854 in Sevier County, Tennessee. Sophia was the daughter of Daniel Wesley Reagan and Nancy Ogle-Reagan

Noah Ogle married Susan Ogle in Sevier County, Tennessee on June 4, 1891. Susan was the sister of his first wife Martha Ogle and the daughter of Thomas Isaac Ogle and Sarah "Sally" Ogle-Ogle

Noah Ogle was a Private in Company E, 2nd Tennessee Cavalry Volunteer with the Union army during the Civil War. He enlisted for three years at Sevierville, Tennessee on Sept 16, 1862 and was discharged at Nashville, Tennessee, 5 July 1865.


Noah served the 11th Civil District for many years as a Justice of Peace. He added land to the cemetery located on the hill in town, again being called White Oak Flats Cemetery. Noah and his third wife Susan deeded the land for the present site of White Oak Flats Baptist Church. Noah owned and ran a grocery store which is still run by his descendants.
