LITTLE ORLEANS, November 7, 1944 - Services were conducted Sunday afternoon in the Piney Plains Methodist Church for Mrs. Mary Effie Swain, 71, who died last Thursday, November 2, 1944.

Mrs. Swain is survived by a son, George Wilbur Swain, local Postmaster, and a daughter, Lieutenant Goldie Alice Boore, Army Nurse Corps, stationed in New Guinea.
