Inscription
Tombstone inscription, translated by Professor Scott Noegel:
Darum ist noch eine ruhe Vorhanden dem volke gottes
Erb 4 Verse 9
"There remains therefore a rest for the people of God."
This is a quote from the New Testament, Hebrews 4:9. Some interpret "rest" here as meaning the sabbath.
