Edmund Ludwig, 87, of Brothertown, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1988 at home unexpectedly.

He was born Oct. 27, 1900 in Kloten, the son of the late Frank and Magdeline (Roehl) Ludwig. On Oct. 22, 1924, he married Cecilia Schneider in Jericho. She preceded him in death Aug. 6, 1976.

Mr. Ludwig was self-employed as a farmer in the town of Brothertown until 1955; he was a milk hauler for the Quinney Cheese Factory for 17 years; worked at the Chilton Metal Products for 10 years; and after retiring he worked at Erickson Orchard in Brothertown.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Jericho, and its Holy Name Society and the Stockbridge Senior Citizens.

Survivors are three daughters and two son-in-law; Mrs. William (Eunice) Kartheiser of Chilton; Mrs. John (Jane) Giesen of R. 3, Chilton and Mrs. Eugene (Joan) Giesen of R. 1, Chilton; two sons, and daughters-in-law; David and Betty Ludwig of R. 3, Chilton and James and Toni Ludwig of R. 1, Chilton; 34 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lorraine Dekarske of Sheboygan.

Mrs. Ludwig was preceded in death by a daughter, a son-in-law, a grandson, four sisters and six brothers.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Jericho. The Revs. Gerald Sirois and Ron Schneider were celebrants. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
