Thomas F. Legate, 67, Lexington, MO, passed away Friday, August 1, 1997, at the V.A. Hospital, Kansas City, MO.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, at the Walker-Nadler Chapel, Lexington, MO; with burial in Lexington Memory Gardens.
Friends may call 7-8:30 p.m. Monday at Walker-Nadler Chapel. Military Graveside Services by Lexington V.F.W. Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Mr. Legate was born November 28, 1929, in Lexington, MO. He was married to Elizabeth Jackson on January 29, 1948. He was a distributor for the Kansas City Star. He was a member of United Presbyterian Church, Lexington, MO, and Lexington V.F.W. He was a veteran of the Korean War servi ng in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Legate, of the home; three sons, Tom L. Legate, Lexington, Steve W. Legate, Richmond, MO, and Roger A. Legate, Topeka, KS; two daughters, Sharon K. Bartley, Warsaw, MO, and Kelly A. Motley, Lexington, MO; brother, Walter Legate, Lexington, MO; sister, Edna Strader, Raytown, MO; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
