Charlotte Kilgore Craig, age 70, of Conway, made her way to heaven early in the morning on December 30, 2006.
Born in Chickasha, OK, on March 1, 1936, she was the daughter and youngest child of Gladys and Wyatt Kilgore. At the age of 2, Charlotte and her older brother, Merle, moved with her family to New Orleans and then on to Shreveport, LA, where she grew up, graduating from Byrd High School.
She received her B.S. from Louisiana Tech University and was a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority. It was also at LTU that Charlotte met her future husband, Donald Richard Craig of Mount Vernon, NY. They were married on June 9, 1957, and eventually moved to El Dorado, AR.
Charlotte was very active in the Newcomer's Clubs in Calgary, Canada, New Orleans, LA, and Conway, AR. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Conway.
Charlotte is predeceased by her parents and brother and is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Don, and their two children. She was a precious wife, mother, and friend and will be sorely missed.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at First Baptist Church with Dr. R. Dale Wicker, Jr. officiating.
