Wyatt was a graduate of Oklahoma Central University and a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He completed his graduate work from Oklahoma University and was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honorary scholastic fraternity.
He was an accountant and field auditor for the U.S Internal Revenue Service for 36 years.
Wyatt was a member of the Triple Triangle Class of the First Baptist Church and had lived in Shreveport since 1938.
He was survived by his wife Gladys; a son W. Merle Kilgore of Nashville, TN; a daughter Charlotte K. Craig of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; one sister Hattie Davis of Chickasha, Oklahoma; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the Rose-Neath Funeral Home's Marshall Street Chapel and conducted by Dr. N. Pugh, retired minister of the First Baptist Church of Shreveport.
