JOHN W. CRAIG DIES at HOME
John W. Craig died at his home at 1312 Colton Avenue, Monday at 5:45 p.m. The body was taken to the Beck Memorial Home. Services will be held there at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Downs.
Mr. Craig was born July 12, 1875, at Downs. He lived in Heyworth for a number of years, and later moved to Hammond, Ind., where he was employed as an engineer on the Baltimore and Ohio railroad. Ill health forced him to retire two years ago.
Mr. Craig was a member of the Masonic Lodge, No. 251, Heyworth, and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, division 582, Chicago.
He is survived by the wife, Bessie M.(Ensminger) Craig; a son, Porter M., Chicago; a grandson, John M. Craig, who is in army aviation at Orlando, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. Nettie Mikel, Downs; Mrs. Bessie Fanning, Mrs. Lucy Jones, and Mrs. Della Chariton, all of Bloomington; two brothers, Cheney Craig, Normal, and Floyd, of Heyworth.
