Mrs. Ada May Hess, wife of Charles W. Hess of Needmore, Pa., died at the home of her son, George of Saluvia on September 18, 1942. Left to survive are her husband, Charles W. Hess, Needmore and the following children: Lottie, wife of Bryan Mellott, Needmore; George of Saluvai and Clyde of Johnstown. Also six grandchildren and three great grand children. The following brother and sisters also survive: Riley Deshong, Sipes Mill; Maggie Souders, Ft. Loudon; Rose Mellott, Harrisonville; Ella Swope, Needmore; Blanche Hollenshead, Needmore, and Sadie Mellott, Monta Vista, Colorado.

Mrs. Hess was aged at the time of her death, 66 years, r months and 7 days, was a life long member of the Sideling Hill Christian church also a charter member of the Ladies' Aid of the same church. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Sideling Hill Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. T. P. Garland, assisted by the Rev. Lewis Duvall. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.
