Thelma Betty King Berry of O'Kean died Tuesday September 27, 2011 at Newport Health and Rehabilitation Center she was 82 years old.
She was born January 27, 1929 in Sharp County, Arkansas to the late Moses Price and Bertha Wilson King. She married Sam L. Berry on July 18, 1948 in Sharp County. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by five brothers, Marvin, John, Cecil, Jessi e, & Claudie King, and one sister Katherine King. She worked for Brown Shoe Company for 39 years.
She is survived by her four children, Gary Berry, O'Kean, Velma Shortt. Jackson, MO, Betty Ferrell, O'Kean, and Tracy Watson; two brothers, Willie King, Sugar Grove, IL and Luther King, Pocahontas, AR; three sisters, Pearly Hirsch, Ravenden, Irene Baird, Williford, and Maudie Leininger, Schenectady, NY; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, and one on the way; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, also survive her.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 and family members Saturday morning from 9am until the 11:am service at Higginbotham Funeral Service of Walnut Ridge. Interment will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens, honored to serve as her pallbearers will be Chris Ferrell, Jessie Ferrell, Ron Hirsch, Ronnie Berry, Bryant Watson, and Travis Berry; Honorary Pallbearers will be Loria Ferrell, Holly Shortt, Amanda Pfieffer, Loey Goad, and Cy Watson.
