Was married to Mary Petri [DOB Nov. 14, 1857], Lumberton, Burlington County; about 1882, she died at age 26 on Oct. 22, 1884 in Ewansville, Burlington County. They were the parents of two Jacob Louis* and Mary Anna. Then married Magdelena Hauck [DOB June 26, 1859] in 1887, a native of Baden, Germany; she died June 16, 1922. They had three children Magdelena Frederick, Louis Jacob and Julia Magdalena.
