B.J. Spreng, 77, a retired farmer, died at his home, 1315 Washburn avenue, at 12:30 o'clock this morning, after a long illness. He had lived in Shawnee county and Topeka since 1878. The funeral announcement will be made later.

, age 77, died Monday at his home, 1315 Washburn avenue. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Westminister Presbyterian church. Interment in Mount Hope cemetery.
