A. J. Clifton,79, of the Dobyns Community, died Saturday Jan. 27 1940, after a lingering illness.
Burial will be in the Rakes Cemetery near Vesta Virginia with Elder Joel E. Marshall conducting the services. The funeral will be preached at a later date.
He is survived by his second wife,
Two daughters, Mrs. Jesse (Lula Clifton)Rakes and Mrs. Dollie Mitchell.
Three brothers, Emory Dean E.D. Clifton, William Robert W. R. Clifton of Vesta Virginia and Lupert Morton L. M. Clifton of Roanoke Virginia,
and two sisters, Mrs. Russell (Leahvannah Clifton)Cassell of Roanoke Virginia and Mrs. Mary Clifton Cruise of Vesta Virginia.
