Nancy Harriet Clifton Boyd
Nancy Harriet Clifton Boyd passed away January 23, 1940 in Patrick Co Va. She was born April 11 1869 in Patrick Co Va and the daughter of the late Andrew Martin Clifton and Martha Jane Boyd Clifton.
It is said Nancy was a very indurlist person. She could see a coat or dress in a shop and was able to go back home and cut a pattern and make the garment just like the one that was on display. She was able to keep her children clothed by making the garments herself. She more or less reared her children by herself. Her husband Put was gone most of the time peddling eye glasses to the public and never was home very much to help with the children.
She was preceded in death by one daughter; Cora Boyd.
She leaves behind her husband; Putnanin Napoleon "Put" Boyd and
six daughters; and
one son.
She will be laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery Danville Va.
