Mendota -- Ann F. Searl, 92, formerly of DePue, died at 3:45am, Wednesday, Nov 8, 1995 in the Mendota Lutheran Home in Mendota. Born Aug 3, 1903, in Mitchell, SD, to John and Susan (Hoffman) Foos, she married Vernon Carlson. He preceded her in death. In 1948 she married Ira Searl, who passed away Apr 20, 1964. On Jan 10, 1971, she married Benjamin Searl. He died March 27, 1991.
She had worked at Muzarelli Grocery Store in DePue as a checkout clerk until her retirement. She was a member of the DePue United Church of Christ. Surviving are one son, Leon Carlson of Spring Valley, two daughters, Bonnie Lou Flaig of Princeton and Jean Wasielewski of Peru; two step-daughters, Doris Pinter of Zearing and Martha Miller of Tonica; one brother, Peter Foos of Mitchell, SD; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Services will be at 1pm Friday at the Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley with Rev. Barbara Toomey Yara officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Princeton. Visitation will be 5-7:30pm Thursday at the funeral home.
