Clementina married Rev. William Shields Reid 12/12/1807. While together they served the First Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg, VA for many years. In "Recollections of Lynchburg" it was quoted of her by Cabell the following: "He (William) married Clementina Venable, a young lady belonging to one of the first families of Virginia, one eminently qualified for the wife of a minister. Of excellent disposition, amiable speech and possessed of a heart without guile, she joined to these the most enthusiastic, tender and romantic devotion to her husband". Their children not shown below were: Mrs. Martha Ann Reid Calhoun, George Reid, Mrs. Margaret Nicholas Cabell Reid Wilson, Mrs. Clementina Frances Reid Spencer, Agnes Reid, Paul Anna Reid, Mrs. Agnes Jane Reid Abbott.
