Kathleen Walker, 79, of Veedersburg, died at 12:50 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at her residence.

She was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on July 4, 1932 to the late Roscoe P. and Mamie J. Clark Walker. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, two brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda K. Beckelhymer and Jackie L. Holt (Jerry); three sons, Steven J. Shelley, Keith Shelley (Teresa) and David M. Matheson; two brothers, Wesley Walker and Roscoe Walker; two sisters, Thelma Mason (James) and Vera Maxine Gallivan; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Ms.Walker had worked as a nurses aide for the former Turtle Creek Nursing Home at Lafayette, the Clarks Hill nursing home and the Ben Hur Home at Crawfordsville. She attended schools in Glasgow, Kentucky.
