Services for Mrs. Willie McCharen who died in El Paso, Texas after a long illness. She had a severe case of influenza in 1920 and had never fully recovered.
Survivors: husband; two children - Joe Bob McCharen and William Dean McCharen; mother of Graham; brothers - John R. Elledge and Eldon Elledge; sisters - Mrs. Lucy Wood, Mrs. Jesse Corbett, Mrs. Willie Riggs, Mrs. Mann Young, Miss Marguerite Elledge.
Her mother, brother and husband were at her bedside at her death and accompanied her body to Graham.
Mrs. McCharen moved with her family to Young County as a child. She grew up in Young County. Mrs. McCharen was a devoted member of the Christian Church and was a friend to everyone. She bore her illness with a splendid spirit.
The body was brought to the home of her sister, Mrs. Willie Riggs where the funeral was led by Elder J.F. Purseley, minister of the Church of Christ in Graham.
