Services for John Raymond Elledge were held in First Baptist Church. At an early age, Mr. Elledge moved with his family to Eliasville, remaining there until 1918 when the family moved to Graham. He attended public school in Graham, later was associated with Rex Cornish as a car salesman. He worked at the Sinclair Service station. At the outbreak of the war, he and his wife and daughter moved to Tennessee, where he was engaged in the defense industry until ill health forced him to return to Graham. He became a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts in 1928. Survivors include his wife; his daughter - Janice Ann; his mother; six sisters. He was preceded in death by his father, his only brother - Eldon Elledge; one sister - Mrs. Kimmons McCharen.
