Lilly Viola Dodd Allen, 82, of Paris, Texas passed away peacefully April 13, 2005, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday at Goggans Funeral Home with her brother-in-law, Dewayne Travis officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Memorial Park.
She was born February 25, 1923, in the Rose Hill Community of Kaufman County, to Mary Elizabeth and King Franklin Dodd. She was preceded in death by her husband C. F. Ted Allen in 1981 and daughter Carol Elizabeth Allen in 1972.
She was a bookkeeper for years and retired from Terrell State Hospital as a ward clerk. She was also a well known caregiver for the elderly. She enjoyed crocheting and writing beautiful poems. She was a longtime member of FBC in Terrell.
