Mrs. Lula Partin Wood, 100, of 1735 Old Fairground Road, died Friday at Brian Center in Clayton. She was a native of Harnett County, born July 24, 1899 to the late John Calvin and Sarah Adams Partin. She was a homemaker and the oldest living member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie David Wood. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Morris will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving: daughters and sons-in-law, Tera and Harold "Pete" Stephenson of Angier, Luray and R.C. Savage of Newton; grandchildren and grandchildren-in-law, Teresa Stephenson, Judy and Bobby Kennedy, Sheri and Gerald Holland, Donald and Audrey Savage and Greg Savage; 11 great-grandchildren. The family will be at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and at other times at the home of Tera and Pete Stephenson, 1801 Old Fairground Road, Angier, NC 27501.
