Mrs. Nona Aaron, widow of the late Edward Aaron, died Wednesday, Mar. 20, in Somerset City Hospital where she had been a patient for about four weeks. Mrs. Aaron had been in failing health for some considerable time. She had reached her 86th birthday back on February 19 of this year.

She is survived by one son, Philip T. Aaron, and by two granddaughters. A daughter of Thomas and Mary Sharp Winfrey, she leaves also three sisters -- Mrs. Nannie Harrison, Mrs. Sophia Lawless, and Mrs. Will Lester. There are a large number of other relatives.

A gentle, kindly woman, Mrs. Aaron was beloved by all who knew her, and she will be missed not only by members of the family and relatives, but by hundreds and hundreds of friends.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, Mar. 22, in the Russell Springs Methodist Church and were conducted by Bro. Henry C. Perdue and Bro. Wendell Hurt.

Burial was in the Aaron Family Cemetery at Denmark, with Bernard Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. (Russell County News)
