Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 20 at 3:00 p.m. at Goshen Methodist Church with Revs. Lawrence Morgan, Warren Mitchell, and William R. Phillips officiating. Burial was in Piedmont Memory Gardens with Mickelesen Brown-Service Mortuary in charge.
Mr. Acker is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Hycie Johnson and Mrs. Catherine Hunt of Piedmont and Mrs. Gillie Studdard of Clanton; and three brothers, Fred Acker, Frank Acker, and Bill Acker, all of Spring Garden.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
