Mrs. Emily Victoria Formby Acker, 77, of Spring Garden died at her residence Saturday night, March 17, 1962, after a long illness.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Goshen Methodist Church with Revs. M. J. McElhaney and C. B. Davis officiating. Burial was in Piedmont Memory Gardens with Gray Brown-Service Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include her husband, Lake B. Acker; five sons, Foster Acker of Anniston, Fred Acker, Lake B. Acker, Jr., Frank Acker and Bill Acker, all of Spring Garden; three daughters, Mrs. Hycie Johnson, Mrs. Catherine Hunt, both of Piedmont, and Mrs. Gillie Studdard of Clanton; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Earl Acker, Charles Acker, Leroy Acker, Kenneth Hunt, Jerry Johnson and James Studdard.
Mrs. Acker had lived in the Spring Garden community all her life and was a member of the Goshen Methodist church.
