Moore--John Irven Armstrong, 78, died Saturday at Moore Municipal Hospital following a long illness. Services will be 2 pm Monday at Primrose Funeral Home, Norman, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Armstrong was a retired builder and car lot owner.
He was a World War I veteran of the Army, and a member of American Legion Post 88? in Norman. He was a member of First Methodist Church of Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes; son, Paul, Norman; two daughters, Mrs Wanda Jo Tener, Moore; and Mrs Margaret Ann McClain, Marietta; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to First Methodist Church of Moore.
