Mrs. Franklin was a licensed practical nurse at State Hospital in Jacksonville for many years. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Survivors: four daughters, Barbara (husband, Ron) Carter of Fort Madison, Iowa, Judy Franklin of Detroit and Linda (husband, Tom) Paul and Jane White, both of Winchester; two sons, James (wife, Nancy) Franklin of Burlington and William Howard Franklin of New London, Iowa; 25 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; three sisters-Retha McLain of Des Moines, Iowa, and Iva Judd and Dollie Sissel, both of Falmouth, KY; a brother, Carl Maxwell Reynolds of Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews.
