Mrs. May Montague, 69, wife of William Montague, died in a local hospital following an illness of about four years.

She was born April 6, 1892, at Almy, Wyo. To George Brown and Ellen Cunningham. When she was very small, the family moved to Woodville were she received her education. It was there she met and married William Montague on June, 1, 1911. This marriage was later solemnized.

The couple just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 1.

They lived at Newdale until 1924 and moved to Osgood where they have lived until the present time. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in all the organizations and was active in civic affairs. She was an officiator in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple for seven years preceding her illness.

Surviving in addition to her husband are the following children: Mrs. Reed (Nelda) Owens of Idaho Falls; Mrs. Marvin (Irna) Jones of Idaho Falls; Mrs. Paul (Iletta) Curtis of Ammon; Mrs. T. R. (Faughn) Bennett of Culver City, Calif.; and Wayne Montague of Blackfoot.

Also surviving are brothers Harold Brown of Lehi, Utah; Alfred H. Brown of Rock Springs, Wyo.; Lawrence Brown of Spanish Fork, Utah; and sisters, Mrs. Darlene Downey and Mrs. Elna Harris both of Frontier, Wyo.; Mrs. Mable Burke of Midvale, Utah; 22 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. One son preceded her in death.
