Virginia Minerva Evelyn McKee was born the daughter of James Barkley McKee and Quandima McPike. They are buried in Wolf Point, Roosevelt County, Montana. The brothers and sister's of Jennie were: Jennie helped care for Lurena Hoover in her illness and when she died, Jennie went to Montana to homestead. Lurena told Ed that when she died, she wanted him to marry Jennie. Some time after Jennie went to Montana, Ed wrote her a letter and asked her to marry him, so she did come back to Quasqueton and were married on November 1, 1911 at Vinton, Iowa. They were parents of four daughters: Lurah Opal Hoover Krapf buried Troy Mills Cemetery; Imogene Hoover Sauer buried this cemetery; Ada Eileen Hoover Kautz buried Rowley, Iowa; Vivian Lorraine Hoover buried this cemetery.

~0bit~Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Jennie Hoover, 72, of Rowley at the Cono Center Presbyterian Church Friday, August 26, at 2 P.M. Burial will be in the Hoover
cemetery. Mrs. Hoover died at the People's Hospital in Independence Tuesday, August 23 at 8 P.M. Virginia McKee was born in Nebraska on May 29, 1888. She married Ed Hoover at Vinton November 1, 1911. Mr. Hoover preceded her in death in 1949. She had been a resident of t he Rowley community for the past 30 years. Mrs. Hoover is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Ray Krapf of Walker; Mrs. Arlie Sauer of Winthrop; Mrs. Kyle Stoner and Mrs. Ralph Kautz of Rowley. Also one brother, H. P. McKee of Columbia Falls, Montana, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Drilling, of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The Murdoch Funeral Home of Walker is in charge of the arrangements.
