Ruth Brumley, 61, of Louisville, KY (formerly of Russell County), died Thursday, November 6, 2008 at her residence.
She was born February 7, 1947 in Russell County.
She is survived by her mother Arvilla Higginbotham Garner; two sons Billy Dean McKinney and Timothy Wayne Brumley, both of Louisville; two daughters, Joyce Ann Shirley, Louisville and Lisa Ann Howard, Bardstown; eleven grandchildren, Rebecca Kay Hatfield, Billy Dean McKinney, Jr., Stephanie Miller, Beth Ann Meredith, Amy Gail McKinney, Donald Lee Howard, Jr., Nicole Lynn Burk, Timothy Cameron Howard, Eric McKinney, Austen Brumley, and Hayley Brumley; six great grandchildren Kevin Hatfield, Destin Hatfield, Michael Kane, Alexis Brooke Miller, Autumn Miller, and Sarah Ann Miller; three brothers Ollion Garner and Bobby Garner, both of Russell Springs and Carlous Garner, Cloverdale, IN; and two sisters Joann Zimmerman of New Jersey and Dorothy Holt of Russell Springs.
Ms. Brumley was a Homemaker and a member of Lynn Acres Baptist Church of Louisville.
The funeral was held Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Gilbert officiating. Burial was in Dixon Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Billy McKinney, Jr., Kevin Hatfield, Amy McKinney, Tim Howard, Donald Howard, Jr., and Eric
McKinney.
